BH Fitness Inspirit Pro Cross Trainer Review

BH Fitness are one of my favourite brands when it comes to cross trainers and I have been keen to get my hands on the Inspirit Pro Elliptical for many months now so it can be added to my cross trainer reviews.

As with all the cross trainers in the BH Fitness collection the Inspirit Pro is incredibly good looking. It has a stylish, angular frame that is compact in size (great for the home gym) without looking too lightweight.

When the product arrived at home I got straight to work with my least favourite part of the job, the assembly. I am always too keen to get on with using the product and have never been a fan of confusing instruction leaflets. The BH Fitness Inspirit Pro requires some assembly before first use but you will be pleased to know that this is minimal. The assembly was straightforward, the instructions easy to follow and I was ready to use the product within 20 minutes.

Climbing on board I quickly realised that this was a classy product; a smooth motion from a sturdy frame that did not shake or wobble when in use. There are many, many cheap cross trainers out there that are not stable when in use and it makes for a terrible workout experience, so this is something I am always on the lookout for.

Features

The features on this cross trainer are probably above average for a sub £600 model and are a nice touch.

Touch Screen Computer

The first thing you will notice is the touch screen on-board computer, which offers a crystal clear display allowing you to track your progress whilst you exercise. This computer is easy to navigate and it is from here that you can select the various workouts that are already programmed in.

Pre-Programmed Routines

There are 12 routines programmed in to this cross trainer, each designed to offer a comprehensive workout. Make use of them if you want to avoid the dreaded “plateau effect”.

Stride Length

The stride length on this machine is 16” – this is the most popular stride length in the UK and few people would struggle with this.

Anti-Slip Pedals

The pedals on the Inspirit pro are generously proportioned and have double cylindrical support and anti-slip grips, great for your safety.

Wheels for easy movement

If you need to move the cross trainer from one room to another you can do, because it is supplied with wheels. A nice touch!

Mike’s Verdict

Overall, this is an impressive, mid-priced elliptical cross trainer that would suit the average to above average fitness enthusiast. It can be hard to grab a bargain on BH Fitness branded products but shop around and you should manage to secure this product at the £399 mark. Make sure the retailer supplies you with a warranty for that extra peace of mind.
